Ouray Elopement at the top of the world

Amanda and Cole Roberson's elopement day started slow in their cozy cabin, watching the hummingbirds as so many came over towards them on their deck. They listened to the trees talking with the wind, and it was so peaceful.
They were so filled with excitement, and they were giddy to have their first look with each other. Amanda went to get her makeup and hair done with Libby and had a very relaxing time. After Amanda got her hair and makeup done it was time to finish getting ready. Amanda and Cole got ready separately for their first look.
They had the sweetest first look right outside their Airbnb. It was perfectly intimate and a moment that they'll never get back.
Then they took off for their Jeep tour. They got to witness and admire the grandeur of Colorado. Ouray is truly such a magical area. They got to ride in the back of the Jeep, experiencing the wind blowing in their hair, and having fun on the ride up with mountain views everywhere, and unreal colors in every direction. When they got to the top of the mountain, they were questioning whether this was real or not. They then pronounced their love from the top of the world. They shared their vows, placed rings on each other's hands, and pronounce themselves newlyweds as they self solemnized.
They took wedding portraits there, had some wildlife sightings after saw beautiful wildflowers, and cascading waterfalls. The rain waited just long enough for us to complete their wedding portraits. The casual afternoon summer showers rolled through right after.
As the Jeep tour came to an end and then they returned to their Airbnb. They enjoyed a traditional cake cutting and a delicious marble buttercream cake.
They enjoyed dinner and had champagne. The rest of the evening was spent relaxing together tucked into Ouray, Colorado.
Helping Amanda and Cole plan and photograph their gorgeous, intimate elopement adventure was a pleasure and an honor. Witnessing their love through my lens was so precious.
