FAQ

HOW DO I HIKE IN A WEDDING DRESS?

Short answer, you don’t! have to! However, you’re more than welcome to hike in your wedding dress, or even for part of the hike. I personally think hiking with your attire on makes for incredible pictures as long as you’re okay with your dress getting dirty! I typically recommend my clients to bring their wedding attire in a garment bag, attached to their hiking bag. This allows you to hike quickly and have more time for cleanup before the ceremony begins.

Do you reschedule for weather?

We embrace the weather! Backup plans are created during our planning process to ensure an epic adventure no matter what!

HOW far in advance do we need to book?

I recommend booking 6 months to a year in advance to make sure I'm available for your date. Your elopement can be planned in a few weeks so there's no write or wrong way to do it.

CAN WE HAVE FRIENDS AND FAMILY?

Of course! The best part about eloping is that you can make the experience whatever you want! In consideration for Leave No Trace Principals, I recommend keeping your group to twenty people or less. This also allows the experience to remain intimate and stress-free.

I WANT AN ADVENTUROUS ELOPEMENT BUT I DON'T WANT TO HIKE -
CAN I DO THAT?

Hell yeah! I love offering my clients with elopement options that fit their needs. I strongly believe everyone should be able to access the great outdoors without having to be an olympian.

DO YOU TRAVEL?

Absolutely! I love to travel for elopement photography. If you are interested in a destination elopement or wedding reach out and we can chat!

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME OF THE YEAR TO elope?

Colorado provides a perfect setting for your special day and offers countless activities and scenic views year-round. My personal favorite time of year is late spring and early fall. If you are considering other locations the best time of year may vary.

CAN I BRING MY DOG?

YES! As long as your location permits. Some national parks do not allow dogs. If you decide to bring your furbaby, definitely bring someone along to watch your dog when you're off doing your own thing!

how much does it cost to elope?

The average wedding costs $33,900 while an average elopement costs $15,350.
