If a winter elopement is what your planning for I would definitely consider Breckenridge. There are many year round activities to enjoy! Image spending a slow morning drinking coffee in the forest amongst the the fresh mountain air. Afterward you can get ready for the most epic adventure of your life. Later you can end with a late night with clear skies and bright stars above.
The High Point Hideaway is one of the few a-frame cabins left in Summit County. This beautiful A frame was built in the early 1970s in Breckenridge, Colorado.
The owners wanted to keep its original feel while making necessary updates. Previously, this home’s main heat source was an elegant wood-burning stove that sat as a centerpiece in the living area. Meanwhile the original stove can still be found in the northwest corner of the cabin with a new purpose. Take some time to enjoy there private hot tub for you and your partner in the forest.
Additionally this home is only a short drive downtown if you’re interested in checking out the local shops and restaurants. In the winter, head deeper into the mountains to shred the slopes at Breckenridge Ski Resort. In the summer, pack your hiking boots to explore the many nearby trails. The Cliff House offers an undeniably unique experience. This home was built into sandstone rock, the Cliff House is landscaped with native species that bloom all summer. The space is nature-inspired and they encourage your presence in nature.
In fact, the Canyon Cliff House is located down a single-lane, dirt road. Consequently, it is safe for passenger cars, but drive slowly and watch for critters wild and domestic. You sometimes have to patiently wait for cows or horses to move aside (particularly in the winter months).
As shown above they are located in a desert, rural area. Expect wildlife on the property (insects, geckos, foxes, deer, marmots, bobcats, mountain lions, and other fun critters). How exciting! This is definitely the place to be for seclusion.

If you’re looking for an elopement location that has plenty of activities to offer consider Pagosa Springs. Remember that you can literally do whatever you want! This should be the most epic adventure of your life.
This airbnb offers some of the best views in Pagosa Springs! This modern, new, cabin has endless, panoramic views of the mountains. Overall, the Ridge cabin will provide you with relaxing, comfortable experience. Additionally, this home is on 72 acres and just 1.5 miles from the heart of Pagosa! This lovely airbnb does require a 4WD or AWD vehicle especially in the winter months.
Another plus is that they welcome (Maximum 2 dogs) dogs. Be sure to specifically include your dogs in your reservation.

As I have noted this home is located in the heart of Colorado in Grand Junction. This lovely home offers a unique blend of natural beauty and urban charm. Enjoy stunning landscapes including iconic Colorado National Monument and the lush Grand Mesa, the city provides a picturesque backdrop for couples seeking an intimate celebration.

If a winter elopement is what your planning for I would definitely consider Breckenridge. There are many year round activities to enjoy! You can enjoy your early morning coffee here with fresh mountain air or late nights with clear skies and bright stars above.
This airbnb is at 9,200 feet in elevation and the roads require AWD or 4WD for November through April (however it can snow in October and in May!). To clarify, the roads are plowed after 6 inches of snow. You do not need a 4WD or AWD in the summer but be aware that the dirt roads in the neighborhood are bumpy!
